Boone Company has a large collection of the well known Native American Indian artist, “Robert Redbird”. We carry both prints and originals. Robert Redbird is well-known for his technical skill and effectiveness in portraying spiritual themes in Indian life. A member of the Kiowa tribe and the Kiowa Gourd Clan, and a native of Oklahoma, Redbird preserves and communicates the Kiowa culture and way of life for his people and for art connoisseurs of all cultures.
Robert Redbird’s work is in great demand. His Native American Indian paintings have been added to collections in all 50 states and some foreign countries over the last several years and the petition for his work continues to increase. His creativity over the years had continually evolved and he believes he has yet to hit his peak as an artist. Robert Redbird’s career as an Native American Artist has been marked by many fine achievements.
Boone Company also hosts the Native American Indian artist from the “Cheyenne” tribe, “Robert Bushey”. Robert Bushey was raised in Kingfisher Oklahoma and now lives in Weatherford, Oklahoma. This Native American Indian artist is a member of the “Cheyenne Dog Soldier Society” and is a descendant of the Native American Indian, Old Bull Bear, a participant in the battle of “The Little Big Horn”. Robert Bushey is also a competitive Native American Indian dancer and a “Sun Dance Chief”. Robert hand-carves alabaster sculptures in shapes of eagle heads, buffalos and bears. Robert says: “I started carving alabaster years ago. I love the way each piece of work I do comes out of the rough rock. I am proud that the work I do makes people so happy”. Robert also constructs beautiful Native American Indian style tobacco pipes with bowls made from antlers.
